Tour Highlights
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Saigon – Saigon City Tour
Today, you will be arriving in Saigon, now known as Ho Chi Minh City, a vibrant and dynamic destination in Vietnam. Upon your arrival at the airport, we will escort you to the city center and assist you with the hotel check-in process.
Our evening city tour commences at the Reunification Palace, a significant historical landmark that played a pivotal role in the Vietnam War, culminating in its end in 1975. This iconic building has since been transformed into a museum and serves as a venue for official gatherings. Adjacent to it stands the impressive Central Post Office, a striking colonial-era structure that holds great prominence in the city.
A leisurely stroll along Nguyen Hue street will lead you to notable sights such as the Opera House (viewed from the exterior) and the Ho Chi Minh Committee building (also viewed from outside). Subsequently, a visit to Ben Thanh Market, a symbolic hub of Saigon, offers a glimpse into the local way of life and presents an opportunity for purchasing artisanal goods.
You will conclude the day by retreating to your accommodations at the hotel in Saigon.
Day 2: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, your day will begin with a visit to My Tho. Upon arrival, you will embark on a boat and embark on a leisurely cruise along the majestic Mekong River, observing the daily life of the local residents along the riverbanks. Our journey will include a stop at one of the four islands in the vicinity for sightseeing.
Next, you will transfer to small boats operated by local residents, who will guide you through narrow canals lined with water coconut trees. You will have the opportunity to explore local factories where you can sample honey tea and witness the production process of coconut candy milk. Feel free to participate in the process or take a leisurely stroll through the garden tended by local beekeepers. Following this, you will experience a tranquil horse-cart ride along the village roads.
For lunch, we will pause at a nearby restaurant overlooking the Mekong River, where you can savor the renowned Elephant Ear fish. As evening falls, we will journey back to Saigon, making a stop to visit the renowned Vinh Trang Pagoda, showcasing a distinctive blend of Chinese, Cambodian, and French architectural styles. Your accommodation for the night will be at a hotel in Saigon.
Day 3: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels Tour – Siem Reap
Following breakfast, your itinerary includes a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a network of underground passages dating back to the Vietnam War. Spanning approximately 200 kilometers, these tunnels were meticulously hand-dug and utilized by Vietnamese guerrilla fighters. Prior to the Tet Offensive of 1968, nearly 10,000 soldiers resided within these tunnels, serving as a poignant reminder of the war’s harsh realities. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to crawl through select sections of the tunnels, providing a firsthand glimpse into the wartime experience.
Later in the day, you will proceed to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, our designated representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to unwind and recharge. Your overnight accommodation will be at a hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 4: Full Day Angkor Tour
Today’s agenda revolves around the captivating Angkor temples. Following a nourishing breakfast, the journey commences at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, also referred to as Big Angkor, the esteemed royal city and final stronghold of the Angkor Empire. The iconic Bayon Temple awaits exploration, characterized by its intricate architectural composition developed over a century in a mosaic-like manner.
Subsequently, a visit to the Terrace of the Elephants, adorned with sculpted elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King, embellished with depictions of nagas, demons, and mythical creatures, is on the itinerary. The grandiose Baphuon, resembling a temple mountain, and the Royal Palace Area featuring Phimeanakas, an imposing sandstone pyramid, are next in line for discovery. The morning culminates at the enchanting Ta Prohm temple, a harmonious blend of nature and human craftsmanship.
In the afternoon, the renowned Angkor Wat temple beckons, serving as a representation of the Hindu cosmos with its five towers, extensive galleries boasting intricate carvings, and celestial Apsara dancer stone figures. Embarking on this visit is akin to entering a mystical realm. The day concludes with an overnight stay at a hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 5: Leaving Siem Reap
After enjoying your morning breakfast, we will provide transportation to the airport for your return journey home or to your next destination.
