    Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Muscat

Your adventure commences upon your arrival at Muscat International Airport. After completing immigration formalities, retrieving your luggage, and passing through customs, proceed to the arrival hall where your welcoming chauffeur will be ready to meet you. You will then be transported to your accommodation in Muscat for a comfortable overnight stay.

    Day 2: Exploring Muscat’s Wonders

Day two of your adventure in Muscat begins with a visit to the magnificent Grand Mosque, a stunning architectural marvel. Please be aware that the Grand Mosque is closed on Fridays and public holidays, so plan your visit accordingly. Built in 2001, this modern masterpiece beautifully combines traditional artistry with contemporary design. Get ready to be mesmerized by the intricate details, such as the exquisite handmade carpets, dazzling chandeliers, and the awe-inspiring dome in the main prayer room. It is important for both men and women visitors to dress respectfully, with women advised to dress modestly and wear a headscarf, while men should wear trousers.
After exploring the Grand Mosque, we will take a leisurely drive along the picturesque Corniche waterfront before heading to the lively Muttrah Souq, where you can immerse yourself in local culture and vibrant colors.

Next, we will make a photo stop at the impressive Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, flanked by the historic Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali, which date back to the 16th century. This juxtaposition of old and new reflects Oman’s rich history and traditions.

To delve deeper into Oman’s history, our journey will lead us to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, where you can explore captivating exhibits. After a day filled with discoveries, we will return to your hotel in Muscat, allowing you to relax and rejuvenate for the evening.

    Day 3: Dolphin Watching Adventure

On the scheduled day, we will transport you from your Muscat accommodation to the Marina for an adventurous marine expedition. Our journey will commence as we board a boat to explore the waters in search of dolphins and whales. Witnessing wild dolphins in their natural environment at the start of your day is truly invigorating. If luck is on your side, you may even catch a glimpse of one of the various whale species that inhabit the waters near Muscat’s rugged shoreline.

While we cannot promise dolphin or whale sightings on every outing, we can guarantee that the voyage itself will be a memorable experience. It presents a unique opportunity to enhance your knowledge about these remarkable marine animals. Following our maritime escapade, we will return to the Marina and transport you back to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. As night falls, you can look forward to another comfortable evening at your Muscat hotel.

Day 4: Muscat to Wahiba Sands – A Desert Adventure

On the fourth day of your journey, you will embark on an exciting expedition to Wahiba Sands, a stunning desert environment. This adventure will be conducted in 4WD vehicles, following a picturesque and rugged coastal route that showcases the awe-inspiring beauty of the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Oman and pristine white beaches.

During your journey, you will pass by the charming fishing village of Quriyat. As you venture further inland, be on the lookout for opportunities to catch a glimpse of flamingos and eagles near a captivating stream. A stop will be made at the picturesque Wadi Arabayeen, where you will discover serene pools of water surrounded by date palms, forming a mesmerizing oasis.

The next stop on the itinerary is the impressive Bimah sinkhole, a natural limestone crater with striking blue-green waters at the base. If weather conditions permit, you may even have the chance to witness sharks swimming in the deep blue ocean or graceful gazelles moving gracefully across the landscape as you drive along the coast.

Upon reaching the coastal town of Sur, you will have the chance to visit a traditional dhow factory, immersing yourself in the region’s rich maritime history. Continuing on your journey, you will navigate through mountainous terrain, treating yourself to stunning views of the ocean.

The climax of your adventure awaits as you arrive at the expansive Wahiba Sands, a vast stretch of red and white sand dunes that can reach heights of up to 200 meters (approximately half the height of the Empire State Building). This pristine desert not only offers a visually stunning spectacle but also serves as a habitat for a diverse array of plant and animal species. The ever-shifting patterns of the dunes provide a paradise for photographers, and you will have the exhilarating experience of riding over these sandy peaks like a roller coaster. To conclude the day, you will enjoy a delightful dinner and spend the night at the Arabian Oryx Camp, surrounded by the enchanting desert scenery.

Day 5: From Wahiba Sands to the Heights of Jabal Akhdar

Embark on your day with a satisfying breakfast at our camp in Wahiba Sands. This expansive desert is not only a landscape of shimmering dunes but also serves as the dwelling place of the traditional Bedouin tribe, renowned for their gracious hospitality and profound knowledge of the desert. Today presents a unique opportunity to visit a Bedouin family in their authentic and modest abode.

Transitioning from the stark simplicity of the desert, our expedition leads us to Wadi Bani Khalid. Nestled amidst the mountains, this wadi is adorned with quaint, small villages, each offering a charming glimpse into Omani life. The wadi’s pristine azure waters invite us for a revitalizing swim, so be sure to don comfortable attire and sturdy footwear.

Our next stop is Al Jebel Al Akhdar, celebrated for its awe-inspiring fruit orchards meticulously terraced along the mountain slopes. Natural springs and traditional irrigation systems bless the region, transforming it into a verdant oasis within the rugged terrain. While traversing the area, we will encounter enchanting villages such as Saiq, Wadi Bani Habib (the village of old houses), Village Roose, and Al Ain, each providing a distinctive insight into the local way of life. Perched on the mountain slopes, these villages offer breathtaking views of towering peaks, deep ravines, and meandering wadis.

Visitors in March or April are in for a treat as the local roses bloom, filling the air with their sweet fragrance. Villagers continue the tradition of distilling rose water in their homes, a practice passed down through generations.

For this segment of the journey, it is recommended to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing and durable walking shoes. Our evening will be spent at the Sama Jabal Akhdar Hotel, enveloped by the magnificence of the mountains. (B for Breakfast)

Day 6: Farewell to Jabal Akhdar – Journey to Nizwa and Muscat

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast before leaving Jabal Akhdar. Your next destination is Nizwa, the historic capital of the interior and the birthplace of Islam in Oman. Nizwa is renowned for its cultural heritage, with the first stop being the iconic Round Tower Fort, constructed in the 17th century. While we won’t be going inside, it’s a perfect location for a photo opportunity.

The Nizwa Souq is another must-see attraction, famous for its lively Friday cattle auctions and its impressive collection of handcrafted Khanjars (traditional daggers) and intricate silver jewelry. After exploring Nizwa, our journey concludes at Muscat International Airport, marking the end of our unforgettable adventure.
