Tour Highlights
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Manali – Local Sightseeing & Acclimatization Your adventure begins as you arrive in Manali, the picturesque hill town nestled in the Beas Valley. Check into your hotel and take the day to acclimatize to the altitude. After some rest, head out to explore Manali’s highlights – stroll through Mall Road, visit Hadimba Devi Temple, and soak in the charm of Old Manali’s cafés and local markets. You can also relax by the riverside or take a short nature walk. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and an early night as you prepare for the next day’s high-altitude journey.
Day 2
Manali to Jispa via Atal Tunnel & Sissu – Drive to Baralacha Pass and Suraj Taal – Return to Jispa Start your day early with a hearty breakfast and gear up for a spectacular drive along the Manali–Leh Highway. Travel through the 9 km-long Atal Tunnel, past Batal, and onward to the serene village of Jispa, located along the Bhaga River. From Jispa, begin your ascent toward Baralacha La Pass (16,040 ft), one of the most stunning high-altitude passes in India. Stop at Suraj Taal, the sacred and surreal glacial lake that’s often called the “lake of the sun.” Surrounded by snow peaks and prayer flags, it’s a breathtaking sight. After enjoying the vistas and some photo stops, drive back to Jispa and stay overnight in a cozy camp or guesthouse under a starlit sky.
Day 3
Jispa to Manali – Departure After breakfast amidst the cool mountain air, begin your return journey to Manali. Drive past the same dramatic landscapes, giving you one last chance to capture the incredible views. Reach Manali by early afternoon and enjoy some free time for shopping or café-hopping if time permits. Your trip ends with amazing memories of untouched Himalayan beauty and thrilling road journeys.
