Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Amman
Welcome to Jordan! Upon your arrival at Amman Airport, a warm and welcoming representative will be waiting to assist you with the visa procedures, ensuring a smooth entry process. Afterward, we will transport you to your hotel where you can check-in and unwind in your comfortable accommodation. Take the evening to relax and rejuvenate, preparing yourself for the exciting adventures that await you. Your overnight stay will be at your hotel in Amman.
Day 2: Exploring Desert Castles and the Dead Sea
Following a satisfying breakfast, our journey to the Eastern Desert will begin. Our itinerary includes visits to the remarkable Al Kharraneh Castle, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Amra Castle, and the historic Al Azraq Castle, formerly the home of the iconic Lawrence of Arabia. It was in this castle that he wrote portions of his famous work, Seven Pillars of Wisdom.
Next, we will venture to the renowned Dead Sea, a natural marvel located in the Jordan Valley, approximately 55 kilometers southeast of Amman. This unique destination not only marks the Earth’s lowest point but also showcases an abundance of natural salts that have accumulated over millennia. Take advantage of the rejuvenating waters and admire the beauty of this exceptional landscape. Following a day of exploration, you will return to your hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Exploring Amman, Jerash, and Ajloun
Start your day off right with a satisfying breakfast before embarking on the Amman Panoramic tour, which offers a stunning view of the vibrant city. Next, we will guide you through the ancient Roman city of Jerash, rich in history and architectural wonders. Stroll along its cobblestone streets, adorned with majestic columns, and admire the impressive temples perched on hilltops. Explore the theaters, spacious public squares, relaxing baths, charming fountains, and imposing city walls as you uncover the mysteries of this ancient city.
Continuing northward, we will visit Ajloun, a region renowned for its ecological and historical significance in the Middle East. The highlight of this excursion is the Ajloun Castle, also known as Qal’at Ar‐Rabad. This magnificent fortress exemplifies Islamic architecture, dating back to 1184 AD when it was built by Saladin’s general. Originally constructed to oversee the iron mines of Ajloun and defend against the Crusaders, the castle stood as a formidable guardian, controlling the three main routes to the Jordan valley and protecting the vital communication links between Jordan and Syria.
As the day comes to an end, you will be escorted back to your comfortable hotel in Amman, where a delectable dinner awaits you. Look forward to a peaceful night’s rest before continuing your journey.
Day 4: Journey from Amman to Petra via Madaba, Mount Nebo, and Little Petra
After a satisfying breakfast, embark on an adventurous journey through some of Jordan’s most notable destinations.
Your first destination is Madaba, a city famous for its historical relics. Explore the renowned 6th-century Mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land, along with the impressive Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics that Madaba is known for. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the beautiful St. George’s Church, a significant religious site in the area.
Continuing on, your next stop is Little Petra, also called Al Beidha for its distinct pale rock formations. Known as Siq al‐Barid, meaning the cold canyon, this archaeological gem is located north of Petra and the town of Wadi Musa. Little Petra showcases the Nabataean culture through intricately carved buildings in the sandstone canyon walls. Despite being smaller in scale, the site features three additional open areas connected by a 450-meter canyon. Notably, it is a separate entry point from the Petra Archaeological Park.
The day concludes with a comfortable stay at a hotel in Petra, where you can enjoy a delightful dinner and overnight accommodations.
Day 5: Exploring Petra – A Visit to the Enchanting Red Rose City
Begin your day with a nourishing breakfast and prepare for an extraordinary journey to Petra, the ancient Nabatean city known as the Red Rose. Petra is not only a renowned destination but also holds the prestigious title of being one of the seven wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
To access this awe-inspiring city, you will navigate a narrow, 1-kilometre-long gorge flanked by towering cliffs that soar up to 80 metres high. While traversing this passage, take a moment to admire the vibrant hues and intricate rock formations that envelop you.
Petra is a vast expanse brimming with marvels waiting to be uncovered. Delve into the myriad intricately carved rock-cut tombs, marvel at the breathtaking Treasury, witness history unfold at Roman-style theaters, explore ancient temples, ponder over sacrificial altars steeped in tradition, and wander through colonnaded streets that echo centuries of civilization. After a day of exploration and amazement, retreat to your cozy hotel in Petra for a well-earned dinner.
Day 6: Exploring Petra and Wadi Rum’s Desert Wonders
Greetings! Following a satisfying breakfast, we will set out to discover additional enchanting locations in southern Jordan, with a focus on the breathtaking Wadi Rum. Prepare yourself for an exhilarating experience as we journey into the Jordanian desert on a jeep excursion. T.E. Lawrence once depicted Wadi Rum as Vast, echoing, and god-like, while the locals endearingly refer to it as the Valley of the Moon. Your accommodation for the night will be at a hotel in Wadi Rum, where dinner will be provided.
