Tour Highlights
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi
Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, a dedicated team will be available to guide you through immigration and customs processes. Following this, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will be staying for the night in Nairobi.
Day 2: Nairobi to Tree Hotel
Following a delightful breakfast, we will depart from Nairobi in the morning and make our way to Nyeri, a picturesque town situated in the heart of Kenya’s coffee-growing and dairy farming region, formerly known as the White Highlands.
After indulging in a delicious lunch at the base hotel, our journey continues to a tree hotel. Here, in the evening, you will have the opportunity to witness a captivating sight as a variety of animals emerge from the forest and gather at the illuminated water hole and salt lick. They engage in playful interactions and vie for the best viewing spots. If you choose to stay awake, you may witness the impressive displays of strength by elephants, who are careful not to challenge the rhinos and maintain a respectful distance.
Upon arrival at Mountain Lodge, we will proceed directly to the lodge for lunch. You will savor your meals and spend the night at the Tree Hotel. Remember to pack an overnight bag for your transfer to the Ark later in the evening.
Day 3: Tree Hotel to Nakuru or Naivasha
Today, we embark on a journey to Nyahururu to witness the majestic Thompson’s Falls, situated at an impressive altitude of 7,738 feet. These falls were named in honor of Joseph Thompson, a Scottish explorer who made the first European discovery of them in 1884.
Our next destination is the breathtaking Rift Valley, where we will reach Lake Nakuru National Park in time for a delicious lunch at a local hotel. Following our meal, we have an exhilarating afternoon game drive planned. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, and the birdwatching opportunities are exceptional, with a wide variety of bird species that may ignite a newfound passion for bird enthusiasts.
Lake Nakuru is renowned for its striking flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, creating a stunning pink spectacle along the lake’s shores. The park boasts over 400 bird species, including white pelicans, plovers, egrets, and marabou storks. It is also a rare location in Africa where you can observe the white rhino and the elusive Rothschild giraffe in their natural habitat.
Tonight, we will enjoy a delightful meal and spend the night in a comfortable lodge or camp in either Nakuru or Naivasha.
Day 4: Nakuru/Naivasha to Masai Mara
Embark on a picturesque morning drive through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley to reach the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. This expansive reserve, situated within the Serengeti plains, is well-known for the remarkable wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, and Rhinos.
Upon arrival at your chosen lodge or camp, indulge in a leisurely lunch before embarking on an exhilarating afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is a captivating wilderness paradise where a wide variety of large mammals can be easily spotted. Among the park’s permanent residents are Maasai Giraffes, Buffaloes, Elands, and a plethora of plains game such as Impalas, Zebras, Topis, as well as both Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelles.
Conclude the day with a delightful meal and spend the night at your lodge or camp nestled in the heart of the Mara. Your stay includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner for a truly memorable experience.
Day 5: Masai Mara
Begin your day with an early morning safari to observe the abundant wildlife residing in this reserve. With some good fortune, you may have the opportunity to witness a live hunt in action. Following a delightful lunch at your accommodation, partake in another exciting game drive, offering the possibility of encountering the famous ‘Big 5’ animals. Your meals and overnight stay will be provided at a lodge or camp in the Mara, with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.
Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi
Start your day with a delightful breakfast before finalizing the check-out procedure. We will then commence a leisurely drive back to Nairobi, aiming to arrive in time for lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Following lunch, we will arrange for your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your next flight.
