The temple features a manmade pool, completed in 1577 by Guru Ram Das, the fourth Sikh Guru.

Originally established as a musk deer farm, the Himalayan Nature Park was later designated as a full-fledged nature park by the Central Zoo Authority of India in 1996. The park boasts a diverse range of plant species including potentillas, geraniums, ground orchids, and primulas. Conclude your day with a drive back to Manali in the evening.
Day 8 : Manali – Shri Vashishtha Temple – Hadimba Devi Temple – Chandigarh
Today’s itinerary includes visits to two temples in Manali. The first stop is the Shri Vashishtha Temple, located in the village of Vashishtha, just 3 km away from the city center of Manali. This ancient temple pays homage to Vashishtha, one of the revered Vedic sages, boasting intricate wooden carvings that are over 4,000 years old. Inside, traditional murals, figurines, and paintings adorn the temple, with a black granite statue of Sage Vashishtha draped in a white dhoti.
Next on the agenda is the Hadimba Devi Temple, dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, Bhima’s wife. Dating back to the 16th century, this temple was commissioned by Maharaja Bahadur Singh and stands at an impressive 24 meters tall. Surrounded by a cedar forest at the base of the Himalayas, the temple is believed to have been built around a cave where Hidimbi Devi once meditated. The Goddess Hidimbi Devi holds great significance in the hearts of the locals.
After exploring the temples, head towards Chandigarh. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and a relaxing boat ride on Sukhna Lake in the afternoon. Rest for the night at your hotel in Chandigarh.
